I am about to touch the third rail of religion.

I am not always right, but I am always willing to search for what is right…what is True. When I began my weekly commentary back in 2005 I made a vow that I would not shy away from controversial issues. It is the controversial ones that need our attention.

Let the assault on my character commence. The accusations of anti-Semite will be lobbed at me like a hand-grenade. The name calling, and character-assassination will increase.

But that is ok. I only seek Truth, and ask you to follow Ronald Reagan’s admonition to “trust, but verify.” I will provide links in which you can search the Truth for yourself. Please don’t take my word for it.

That’s how we got in this mess…always taking someone else’s “word for it.” Often we have been taught things that were not true. We have not been like the Berean Christians who “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

I don’t know about you…but I want to know the truth. I am not a theologian and I did not go to seminary, but I can read and I can think. Take it with a grain of salt. But check it out first.

So here goes. Say a prayer for me.
