Not Quite Sure Anymore
When you wear your heart on your sleeve
You can’t predict the evil web they’ll weave
Beyond any betrayal you can conceive
All the women you ever loved will leave,
I’m not quite sure anymore
What kind of insanity comes through that door?
A government that’s rotten to the core
Where are the past heroes I adore?
Now all of us can feel the strain
Standing in the demonic rain
In your eyes I can see the pain
It’s the elitists who are to blame,
When you wear your heart on your sleeve
Don’t expect sympathy or a reprieve
It’s for our liberty and freedom that I grieve
What has our society achieved?
The downfall of the west on a hieroglyph
I think we’re headed for a cliff
No buts, or maybe’s, or ifs
Think I’ve got rigor mortis I’m getting stiff,
If it wasn’t so insane I’d have to laugh
I can’t afford to hire a staff
We have a nation divided in half
Send condolences on my behalf,
Hang onto what sanity you have
Better use your spiritual suave
Just when the glaciers start to calve
Looks like our world is on the wrong path.
