Not the Captain of my Fate
Thought I was in love for just a minute
All the passion and a desire to commit
I’m not the kind who says, “Love it or leave it.”
Did I appear foolish from where I sit?
That elusive prize that squirms away
From my grasp on any given day
God, please bring me love from where I lay
To just allow happiness a pleasant stay,
The laws of attraction could they be real
They don’t seem to coincide with the way I feel
Guess I lost my mojo and appeal
People today eyes of hardened steel,
I sense I’m not the captain of my fate
These things I understand as of late
How to reach heaven’s gate
Maybe it’s due to my sinful traits,
Count me out of the satanic mass
On all unconstitutional taxes I’ll pass
All the deceivers who live to harass
Wishing you abusers were all out of gas,
Here I am on my own again
Always was just looking for a friend
All those wounds in life that need to mend
Could salvation be just around the bend?
"Destroying the New World Order"
