"This week the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on a supplemental funding bill that will allocate another $33 billion to continue the occupation of Afghanistan.
Unlike earlier funding bills that contained money for vital domestic programs, the vote this week will be a straight-up vote for continuing the war with no strings attached.
We need an exit strategy for Afghanistan and a timeline for withdrawal and yet the war funding bill contains neither. Under these circumstances, voting for more money to continue one of the longest wars in our country's history is irresponsible.
Will you call your member of Congress and ask them to vote against the Afghanistan war funding supplemental today?"
