Sea of Infinity

Seems that time has left me behind

Leaving me to whatever devices I might find

Must be that death warrant of mine that I signed

Never knew I could be so inclined,

They say writing is good therapy

Doesn’t seem to change my personal reality

Sometimes I wish I could change my identity

In exchange for the sensation of serenity,

What was I thinking just before you left me?

Escaping on a boat from the Sargasso Sea?

Self-destruction seems only preliminary

I’m now afloat in the sea of infinity,

Somewhere in a distant galaxy a death dance

A loss of celestial romance

Where star chasers prance

Where nothing leaves by chance,

I must have lost myself on the wrong avenue

Too impulsive to think it through

The pain carefully sheltered in these eyes of blue

Compromised worlds come unglued,

My Darling is but an empty fantasy

A genie in a bottle washed out to sea

A prison from which I cannot break free

Challenging my very sanity,

What a great time to lose your soul

Our world has become a Black Hole

Through this minefield I’ll take a stroll

Evil is currently taking its toll.
