Shadows Across the Land

Watching the storm coming over the horizon someday

Wondering when reality will come home to stay

Living in a fog of dogma and disarray

I’m afraid that everyone will have a heavy price to pay,

We live in troubling times of false accusations

The corrupt governments of world nations

An existence of lobotomized expectations

The sadness of compromised family relations,

The rule of evil casts shadows across the land

Building illusions on foundations made of sand

But the fools believe the lies right out of hand

I thought treason was supposed to be banned,

The tactic of division has been used effectively

To create conflict collectively

Those who would surrender rather than be free

Could liberty be having a burial at sea?

God, make it all go away

Save the land where patriotism has gone astray

Where destiny could fall prey

Where you must watch what you say,

The beacon of hope the flame of liberty

Spit upon by fools who are greedy

Ignored by Critical Race Theory
