Danish researchers: So dangerous is the sugar in soft drinks
The amount of harmful fat in the liver, abdominal cavity and the blood becomes more than doubled by drinking a liter of sugar-sweetened soda a day. This increases the risk for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, concludes study from Aarhus University.

The fat content of delivered and the abdomen becomes more than doubled. The harmful blood fats cholesterol and triglyceride increases correspondingly, and there's more goo-fat into muscle.
How are the consequences of drinking a liter of sugar-sweetened soda a day for half a year. It shows a study from the University of Aarhus, which has just been published in the scientific journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
According to the Aarhus scientists prove their experiments, that all who drink large amounts of sugar-sweetened soda increases the risk of developing type 2-diabetes and diabetes. Especially young people can also run the risk that too much soda contributes to the disease develop non-alcoholic fatty liver, which is becoming more prevalent, says Professor Bjørn Richelsen.
Together with his colleagues he recruited 47 volunteers for his study. They were all overweight and were divided into four groups. One group drank regular soda sweetened with sugar. Another drank diet-soda sweetened with the artificial sweetener aspartame. A third daily poured a liter of milk down, while the last group drank water.
Only the sugar-sweetened soft drinks increased the harmful type of fats in the blood, muscles and surrounding organs. Skim milk had not the same effect, although it has approximately the same energy as soft drinks, and there were no adverse effects of the artificially sweetened soda.
Soda Drink Core took no more than modest 1.3 kg during the study.
"We could not demonstrate that they were cool by drinking soda, but they get in return fat deposits where you do not need it, namely the liver and abdominal cavity," notes Bjørn Richelsen.
The risk of the metabolic syndrome, which the researchers considered a sort of precursor to diabetes will increase regardless of their subjects' weight. That is, estimates Bjørn Richelsen, an effect of the half of the sugar in soda, which is fructose.
Fructose is also the sugars found in fruit. This leads to the question of whether it is at least as harmful to drink fruit juice that has the same sugar content as soda and provides even greater intake of fructose.
It feels Bjørn Richelsen, however, that one can conclude on the basis of the study from Aarhus University. He points out first that juice opposite sodas contain many healthy ingredients that may counteract the harmful effects of sugar.
Also depends on the effect of volumes, and people can, says the professor, do not drink a liter of juice daily for six months.
"A little glass plays no role enough. But we have to examine it with the juice. So far, I would not say that one should not drink his juice in the morning. It makes me even. But it's not a liter, "says the professor.

At one time, Coke actually contained medicinal ingredients, lol.

But today it's quite awful. If only it were sugar but now it's even worse and contains corn syrup.
Drinking sodas can also lead to bone loss

And diet soda is even worse because it contains aspartame.

But it will dissolve anything so it does have some practical uses like cleaning battery terminals and toilets

Fruit juice is NOT a good substitute for soda since most is like drinking liquid sugar.
