Study: Nearly 30% Of Americans Advocate For An Armed Rebellion

Nearly 30% of Americans advocate for an armed rebellion (RT, May 2, 2013):

Nearly one-third of Americans say an armed revolution might need to occur in the next few years to prevent an escalating war against constitutional liberties, a new study finds.

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind surveyed 863 US residents randomly in late April and found that 29 percent of those polled believe a revolution isn’t just imminent but imperative.

According to the study, 29 percent of Americans agree that “an armed revolution might be necessary in order to protect our liberties” during the next few years. Forty-seven percent said they disagreed with the statement entirely, with one-fifth of the sample saying they weren’t sure how to answer.

When quizzing only the most conservative of respondents, though, the call for revolution is supported by a much more significant chunk of the sample pool. PublicMind found that 44 percent of Republicans polled in the survey agree that an armed revolt is the answer to an apparent infringement of liberties. By comparison, 27 percent Independents agreed with the statement, as did only 18 percent of Democrats polled.

Pollsters say there is a reason for this inkling towards revolution, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it involves a constitutional right that has become increasingly more of a contested issue among members of Congress and regular citizens alike in recent month. At the heart of this issue, suggests PublicMind, is the gun control debate that has rekindled discussion of the Second Amendment since last year’s Aurora, Colorado and Sandy Hook, Connecticut shootings. According to the results of a second question asked during the study, 73 percent of Democrats say Congress needs new gun laws to protect Americans from gun violence, but 65 percent of Republicans are against any changes whatsoever to current legislation..

“If there was a bipartisan moment after Sandy Hook to pass gun control legislation, it’s past,” Fairleigh Dickinson professor of political science Dan Cassino writes in the report that accompanies the poll. “Partisan views have strongly re-asserted themselves, and there’s no sign that they’ll get any weaker.”

“The differences in views of gun legislation are really a function of differences in what people believe guns are for,” Cassino adds. “If you truly believe an armed revolution is possible in the near future, you need weapons and you’re going to be wary about government efforts to take them away.”

Earlier this week, RT covered a separate poll conducted recently by Fox News in which respondents were asked, “Would you be willing to give up some of your personal freedom in order to reduce the threat of terrorism?” The result of that survey when coupled with similar ones made during the last dozen years or so reveals that Americans are less willing now to part with personal freedoms in exchange for an added sense of security than they were after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

“Whether or not the government overreacted in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 (and, given the information available at the time, reasonable people can disagree), Americans then broadly supported a vigorous domestic counterterrorism policy,” Alan Rozenshtein wrote for Lawfare Blog. “This time around, a rights-restrictive approach might not garner the same public support — if indeed that’s the road the government intends to go down.”

I dont know what else will work but an armed rebellion.  It happened during the American Revolution, and if we restore this country I believe it will happen again. Not that I wish it would, but you either live with greed and corruption or you destroy it.

30%?  All they had during the American Revolution was 3%:

The Doctrine of the Three Percent.

The Three Percent are the folks the Founders counted on to save the Republic when everyone else abandoned it.

And we will.

There will be no more free Wacos and no more free Katrinas.

For we are the Three Percent.

We will not disarm.

You cannot convince us.

You cannot intimidate us.

You can try to kill us, if you think you can.

But remember, we'll shoot back .

We are not going away.

We are not backing up another inch.

And there are THREE MILLION OF US.

Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.

Your move.
And, as things begin to spin out of control, remember this:
"All politics in this country now is just dress rehearsal for civil war." -- Billy Beck, August 2009.
From MamaLiberty over at War on Guns:
"Here's an idea...If nobody wants a 'civil disturbance,' why in heck don't they quit disturbing us?"

Indeed.
What is a "Three Percenter"?
During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came.

Three Percenters today do not claim that we represent 3% of the American people, although we might. That theory has not yet been tested. We DO claim that we represent at least 3% of American gun owners, which is still a healthy number somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 million people. History, for good or ill, is made by determined minorities. We are one such minority. So too are the current enemies of the Founders' Republic. What remains, then, is the test of will and skill to determine who shall shape the future of our nation.

The Three Percent today are gun owners who will not disarm, will not compromise and will no longer back up at the passage of the next gun control act. Three Percenters say quite explicitly that we will not obey any futher circumscription of our traditional liberties and will defend ourselves if attacked. We intend to maintain our God-given natural rights to liberty and property, and that means most especially the right to keep and bear arms. Thus, we are committed to the restoration of the Founders' Republic, and are willing to fight, die and, if forced by any would-be oppressor, to kill in the defense of ourselves and the Constitution that we all took an oath to uphold against enemies foreign and domestic.

We are the people that the collectivists who now control the government should leave alone if they wish to continue unfettered oxygen consumption. We are the Three Percent. Attempt to further oppress us at your peril. To put it bluntly, leave us the hell alone. Or, if you feel froggy, go ahead AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS.

Many studies cited in texts used in university and community college political science classes polling hundreds of U.S. voters establish that less than 35% of U.S. registered voters know nothing beyond face and name identification and party affiliation for the presidential candidate they choose. It is therefore logical to conclude that even fewer believe in armed insurrection is the solution Since the American public usually votes in prancing, mewling circus poodles for their candidates, they will themselves prance and mewl to solve the current crisis stemming from a coordinated financial, HAARP, and potentially military attack based at the center of world banking. Russia kicked the Rothschild bank out of Russia with Mr. Putin in the lead. The U.N. is not to be trusted and the American public used for this article's poll have not been to war and more probably do not exist beyond a video arcade. Violence should not be taken lightly, lest ye be shot in the back of the head next to a trench by someone more adept at a life of violence than you are. I call 'bullshit'.

I would like to actually know just how much is being slipped in or "embedded" in all these bills and "Acts" that give other nations and anti-Americans rule over us, or of the information we are allowed to know.  I can't keep up on much of it.

Funny, disgusting like, how the only people kept in the dark, unprepared, unawares, or don't care about our general welfare are those around us or being conditioned in those state public schools and lib colleges.

Armed revolt or any movement is not for us... Americans, real Americans. Illegals can march openly in our streets while openly announcing their hatred for the invading Europeans and demand we all go back to Europe or we will be wiped out or taken over. Which is happening. We can't even complain.

Ever watch those enlightening documentaries on illegal gangs and foreign military types here in America? One like the Latin Kings and others who even bragged with the acknowelgement of our government and LEOs stating they already out-number any citizens who may challenge them. That supposedly, some of those gangs out-number any law enforcement helps or 'gangs' that might stand between us and them. That they claim to out-number the state side military and law enforcement especially in the East Coast and geographic areas like Chicago and the kind of ilk they have allowed to gain power and those kind of numbers for members, and being better well armed than most of us wage and government slaves, or common people. So supposedly if and when all hell breaks loose we will be on our own, out-numbered greatly by foreign filth and criminals with some being those who our own government and tax dollars have trained.

Any who. Yeah, only us low life Americans and commoners are supposed to fall for and totally believe all those polls, surveys and statistics.  A new stat I was just informed of was that those who are forced to file bankruptcy for medical bills, have health problems, don't live in picture perfect homes like millionaires, or just like plain ol' me are statistically more apt to file fraudulent claims, break the law, burn down our homes, or fake falls like at grocery stores, or to file claims. I have never filed any claims or sued anyone, but I am now at the top of the list for ... high risk, and high probability for possible, get it ... possible, by stats, for profit loss and risk management. Nice country we live in today.

Revolt and drastic change should have occurred many years ago. I live in Terre Haute, Indiana. A far far left multiple college town, a very corrupt town on all levels. While agreeing with those here on here I would have to say even those here and in other 'groups' do not actually realize just how bad it really is. It is the Israeli army here in my parts that are training here, growing their GMO and experimental junk, and forcing the sheep to bow to foreign interest and the other scum who have ruined this nation.

Being an older gimped up gent and seemingly have always had to deal with phonies, liars, the corrupt, the jokers in media, scum-sucking attorneys and others, I think I've seen it all and there is no evidence of any sort of change, especially since most youth among others are totally asleep and distracted and brain-washed to the core. Hell, man, I have no say-so or real freedom or rights in anything concerning me. The powers that be will not allow businesses to buy my land or home so I could at least get out of this town where people like me who are out-spoken and ask too many questions are attacked in many ways. Hassled by every special interest groups out there, the fascist sending in their inspectors or code enforcement to activist to liberate my meat rabbits from this evil doer who cherishes freedom we once had at least fifty years ago or even twenty. So now we have to deal or think about foreign military in large groups being here, drone crap which is big in area too and pushed by local colleges and traitors in government. If we don't agree or dare challenge any of them we are 'attacked' or silenced in any way they feel fit. Of course while our so-called neighbors, so-called fellow Americans, students and others simply could care less. Anything we do, purchase, say, write will be used against us. Like, if you file bankruptcy for outlandish medical costs and bills we are then put on list, information shared with all of 'government,' and corporate types to further be judged and ruined. My home insurance was cancelled merely because info gatherers like bpi and others inform their clients the insurance clients that I am a bad risk and statistically more liable to commit insurance fraud or file claims. I have never files a claim dealing with home insurance. I was not informed just how far our credit scores and all previous consumers actions are listed and scored in various ways to excuse their opinions and actions. We are nothing more than numbers, a credit score, and scum to bankers and all the rest. In short and to cease this, people even on here may not fully grasp or know just how screwed we really are and silenced by PC-ness, the evil two party system and the whole shee-bang.

Have a good day ... if you can. For me it's again dealing with non-stop greed, attacks, inspections, harassment and never ending crap.

30 percent of americans that would physically challenge the govt has nothing to do with voters--remenber how many millions of felons we have in america probably 30-40 million-maybe more-7 out of 10 black males are felons, 5 out of 10 mexicans are felons, almost out of 10 whites are felons and many more felons exist--heckthey have made every crime a felony even jaywalking, 3 strikes states all felons-most anyone that knows how crooked the govt is CAN'T VOTE !!

Numerous studies presented prove less than 1/3 of registered voters know anything for certain about any presidential candidate beyond political party, face ID, and that's all. Your 30% poll would seem to be an expedition for patriotic individuals to expose themselves to the DHS/TSA Bush cabal perverts and murderers. Stealth first. Education second. Jail terms for the entire Bush cabal third. Party fourth.
