Pure drinking water is difficult to find.. with mining companies who empty their ponds into our streams & rivers just in case there is a flood & the untreated water is injected into our streams & rivers as well as the possibility of their 'sand banks' that keep the river from flowing its old course - breaks in and sweeps the lot down stream!

Telegraph systems all over Europe and North America failed.[4] Telegraph pylons threw sparks and telegraph paper spontaneously caught fire. Some telegraph systems appeared to continue to send and receive messages despite having been disconnected from their power supplies.
