As If Watching King Lear, With All that Is Going on in the World, It Is the Jester that Covets the World Stage.  Robin Williams Dies from Asphyxiation.  While many will convey that it was CBS cancelling his show or the "demands" for always entertaining that led to his demise, I dare say that it was the arts that preserved him until now.  His battle was not with drugs, alcohol or sex. So don't blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol.  His nemesis was depression, severe despondency and dejection, typically felt over a period of time and accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and inadequacy.  Yes, you bask in his great outer work--Good Will Hunting, Aladdin, Ms. Doubtfire to name a few.  However, it was his mind and heart that slew him.  There are many today that suffer from the nightmares hopelessness.  A river that runs so deep that not even an Oscar, a Super Bowl Trophy or the Blessed Gift of Life Will Satisfy.  Before you discount this as a mere rambling, I want to inform you that 80% of all suicides are performed by men that have long ago checked out of life and into a bedroom hotel with a rope and a switchblade to etch their pains into a heavy door beam.  Depression is serious.  It can only be cured, not by drugs but, by Jesus Christ.  Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself.
