The Camera Lens
Life is like a camera lens images that come to me
Because of what I know now no way to be free
Images of sadness that will always be
Just turn off that camera that is the key,
So many different impressions that can abound
Yet, you're like a blind man just stumbling around
The world you live in is exactly where you were found
No longer safe in the womb now threatened by the sound,
A camera lens that opens up to you
The world is a revolving sphere turned blue
Sometimes so beautiful and other times so cruel
All this madness from a camera lens view,
Looking through the camera as life passes you by
No time to wonder no time to fly
A camera lens won't suppress the tears in your eye
What would it be like to be a bird up in the sky?
The camera of life sees all you will ever see
Everything you could have been and all you'll ever be
In the end there will be silence on bended knee
When the camera lens grows dark and cloudy,
Life is like a camera lens images that come to me
Because of what I know now no way to be free
Images of sadness that will always be
Just turning off the camera is that really the key?
