THE EGYPTIAN/SYRIAN CHAPTER

If one would look at what happened during the last conference of the Arab League, one would notice that the two main poles that were involved were the Saudi and the Egyptian and they both delivered different speeches regarding Syria , the first calling for the foreign assault on Syria while the other opposing foreign military intervention .Taking into consideration that the Saudis are great supporters and financers of the coup that ousted the Muslim Brothers and deposed Morsi, and that coordination and cooperation have started between the Saudi and the Egyptian armies , one should not see these stands as antagonistic, but rather as complementary and aiming at controlling the whole political scene -from all sides- after the Syrian army and regime had turned down the conspiracy that targeted them and threatened the unity of the army and the country.

It is very alarming indeed to see various Egyptian political factions and parties expressing this sudden support for Syria in press conferences and interviews and speeches, after remaining silent for almost three years, and not saying one word in favor of Syria or mentioning the atrocities Syrians were subject to or denouncing the massacres committed by the opposition.
