I'm living my life in a glass case

I can touch but I'm not allowed to taste

All of my good intentions have gone to waste

I can't take my time because it's all in haste,

God made all the golden rules

To penalize all of the impetuous fools

Love has left me heartbroken and cool

Want to go swim but it's a shark infested pool,

I can see you through the looking glass

You look so gorgeous but alas

I want to drive to you but there's no gas

I want to lay you down on a bed of grass,

This glass case what an irony

I can see right through but it restrains me

The rain comes down on my bended knee

All I want is to love and be free,

It says," ask and ye shall receive."

What about the fools is there no reprieve?

I'm a sinner Lord but I believe

Is this the only way that I can leave?

Living inside this crazy glass case

Of my making or is it just part of the chase

A moment in time that I must erase

All I need is just to kiss your face,

Looking out but I can't see in

Seems I'm waiting for my life to begin

But, I keep paying for all those sins

When will my life be in the column of wins?
