The Little Man
No need to worry no need to worry
So what if the world's in a hurry
If you're with God no need to worry
Even, they say, if you're in a snow flurry,
So what of love and seeking sanctuary?
Might as well be a coal mine Canary
Like some pioneer lost on the prairie
Wife and kid ran off with a guy named Harry,
Is that something in the corner of my eye?
Whenever those foolish memories go by
Only women and children ever cry
The storm will pass and I'll just have to sigh,
Listen God I have a question for you
And I know all my life I've been a fool
As I stand upon this little planet so blue
Can I trust in you is this true?
The creator thought he heard the sound
Of a little man who was about to drown
So there was earth as he looked down
He saw the tears flow down upon the ground,
He spoke to the little man on that perfect blue sphere
To this sad man God had leant an ear
Yes you're right the world is in such a hurry
But you're with me now and you needn't worry.
