The Lunar Light
I sought the answers way too soon
Somehow I collided with the moon
Lost my sight from the lunar light
I think it happened some time in June,
Freezing in the shadows of a Martian dune
I marveled at the ancient ruins,
The disaster ahead seems to loom
Sweeping it up with my cosmic broom,
Racing down a Martian sand dune
Headed for fame and doom,
Passing out in a spinning room
Feels like wreckage on the surface of the moon,
Your lips were like an icy spoon
Had I kissed them way too soon?
Just like this freezing rain
A lover can cause so much pain,
Watching Castro chop sugar cane
With a machetti that's blood stained,
It's the illusion that I disdain
I'm afraid my countrymen are all insane,
I groped for answers way too soon
Disappearing inside a crater on the moon
Losing my sight in the lunar light
I think it happened some time in June.
