That we've missed a few is terribly apparent. Time to get on the move then...

not every 200 years... every generation.. we missed a few!

Now on that we agree completely. Listen, I was around for the demonstrations of the 60s. We changed the fabric of American society. That won't happen again.

I'm perhaps the most anti-American government person I know. The American government is equivalent to a runaway oil tanker. It can't slow down and it can't turn easily. The ONLY prescription for the sickness that is America is a violent revolution and I'm too tired to start it and too old to participate. I can root from the sidelines.

Criminal leaders. How true. All of them. Perhaps with a few minor exceptions like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. They're all, like you say, bought and paid for. Sadly, this is the America we leave for our kids if we don't change it soon.

I'm not certain a Constitutional Convention will make a difference. The system is so corrupted that trying to fix it from within is an exercise in futility. Thomas Jefferson was right. He said a revolution was probably necessary every 200 years or so. It's that time again.

As was taught to me years ago in the 70's...by a Soviet... if our government really cared for we the people ... instead of building thousands of nuclear warheads .. which would destroy the world hundreds of times over... our government could have given each family in America 1,000,000 dollars... and now under the Bush PrezBo banking scheme and 3.4 Trillion in spending... our government could pay off every mortgage, credit card, car payment of all of American citizens.. so you be the judge ... who does our government truly represent? And do they really want to stimulate the economy or hold us in slavery?
Revolt is the only way ... the Citizen Grand Juries, We the People and the oncoming citizen constitutional convention, the State Sovereignty movements, End the Fed... are the start of the revolt. Let us put these criminal leaders.. bought off and paid for.. in jail... and when we go to do what is righteous and lawful.. they will come at us with force... but it must be done and we must preserve the bill of rights... which should be called the bill of responsibilities... Liberty is not free and the blood of true patriots will be spilled to maintain it.

Thanks Marklar.

On the contrary, I am only who I think I am. What others think I am is insignificant and who I really am is who I think I am.

I am always comfortable. Whatever the plans of the governments of the future may be, I'm not a part of them. I'm too old. My kids and grandkids have to worry.

You are who you think you are + what others think you are + who you really are ... and we are all responsible for the actions of those we allow to control us. Do not be comfortable

I wouldn't choose tyranny and that's not where we're headed, that's where we are.

When political candidates are pre-chosen and pre-qualified by a group of elitists, when trillions of dollars can be handed out to bankers, when 16 year-old Americans can be locked up without rights (Google Ashton Lundeby) then you are in fact living in a Police State Tyranny, or as it's commonly referred to, a Totalitarian form of government.

You're the one that called the article well researched and well written, not I.

You sound young. The bars of your prison are invisible. You need age and wisdom to see them. All around you people pull left and right to conquer your perspective. Finding the truth in a minefield of lies can be a painful experience if you take the wrong step and taking the wrong step is a necessary part of finding the truth.

Result: Finding the truth hurts.

OUR IMPULSES ARE BEING MISDIRECTED. We live in an artificially-induced state of consciousness. The under-class is growing. Human rights are non-existent. In their repressive society, we are their unwitting accomplices. Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness. We have been lulled into a trance. They have made us indifferent. We are focused only on our own gain. They are safe as long as they are not discovered. That is their method of survival. Keep us asleep. Keep us selfish. Keep us sedated. We are their cattle. We are being bred for slavery. We cannot break their signal. The signal must be shut off at the source. They want benign indifference. All we really are is livestock.

I HAVE COME HERE TO CHEW BUBBLEGUM AND KICK ASS, AND I’M ALL OUT OF BUBBLEGUM.

And I'm too old to have much patience.

The only Cubans that escaped Cuba were the ones that had MONEY and they were the only ones Castro had problems with because they didn't want to give up their MONEY during his revolution. I have Cuban friends and lived in Miami throughout my high school years.

What Chavez did was nationalize petroleum profits, removing the money tree from American domination. That's as it should be.

Typically, actually always, I will side with the government most advocating for the common man. In actuality I am against almost all forms of government.

Yes, the problem is with most governments because by design they perpetuate themselves at the expense of the people. I'm a common man. A commoner. Under Castro and Chavez I probably (and I say probably because how can one be certain) would have been comfortable. In the United States, even though it's a Totalitarian government disguised as a Democracy I am comfortable. That's only because I only express myself, these days anyway, on paper which is still legal.

However, my heart bleeds for the Iraq's, the Afghan's, the Pakistani's, the citizens of Gaza, the people of Darfur, the Congo and Somalia, all of whom are victims of western Imperialism, natural resource theft, religious intolerance and the Global War On Terror (GWOT) brought to you by our good friends at the NWO.

All I did is recommend the article .. I did not parrot anything... you obviously have not lived under tyranny... but you will soon be finding out. I had a teacher that came from Cuba and Castro and minions killed many of his family and robbed them of all of their resources, why do you think so many Cubans escaped to America. I have been to Venzuela and although Chavez fares well when oil is high priced... he also decides which companies will make it or not and he decides who shall prosper. I know of Red Square and the thousands that were killed because they spoke out against the government. I had a professor from Russia, whose father was an Priest of the Orthodox Church and had to flee to America or die. I lived next door to an Iranian family and he cannot return or he will be killed because he believes in Liberty... his wife has to sneak in by entering Jordan and sneaking over the border with a caravan. As far as Israel...the problem is the government not with the general people. The people have no problem living together with others of differing faiths in peace ...The deaths of millions per year are always the by choices made by those in power... you perhaps would chose tyranny...because that is where we are headed

Well researched and well written?

Obviously we differ tremendously in perspective. I do the hard and difficult research. You parrot the opinions of others.

Hugo Chavez has been vilified in the Canadian and US press because he's honest.

Fidel Castro didn't ruin his country, the US embargo's did.

AND, if you used the internet and did the research you'd find that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the leader of a country that hasn't attacked another in recent history and has spoken of nothing but peace and democracy in all of his speeches which are consistently mis-translated by the western press to propagandize the populations. Welcome to the real world.

Perhaps your support of the most racist country on the planet, Israel, indicates your weakness. Apartheid, persecution and murder do not a country make.

As a Jew I speak of Israel not in spite of Judaism but in support of Judaism. Read the Talmud. The repressive Zionist regime occupying Israel needs to vanish from the pages of time.

If you spent any time at all on the internet looking at the Farsi translations of Ahmadinejad's speeches you would quickly recognize that he's more eloquent and honest than Obama ever was or will be. Instead you parrot the opinions of others, too lazy to do the research to form your own opinions using the facts.

What Ahmadinejad does is not denying the Holocaust. No! It is dealing out criticism against the mendacity of the imperialistic powers who use the Holocaust to muzzle critical voices and to achieve advantages concerning the legitimization of a planned war. This is criticism against the exploitation of the Holocaust.

And did he ever call for Israel to be wiped off the map? NO. He said, based on precise Farsi translation, that the regime (that's the government) occupying Quds (that's Jerusalem) needs to vanish from the pages of time.

Do your own research. I realize it's a lot harder than using someone else's false propositions but it yields far more realistic results.

You might start here, or perhaps here would be better, or here might actually be the best place for you to start.

Then you might move on to global history, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and others. Until you do your own research you're simply the victim of other people.
