First, let’s talk about the Darwin Awards. They were designed in a very sarcastic way to recognize those never intended by evolution to breed and multiply as they were too suicidally stupid to do so. They would become a dead end in evolution’s enclave of extinct species.

A foot note here: Darwin’s theory of evolution and defining Homo sapiens as evolutionary monkey men was wrong. Darwin hated God and wanted creationism out of the way. His observations supposedly made on the pristine archipelago where he put together his theory were in error.

It took Emmanuel Velikovsky and his proven theory that the dinosaurs went extinct due to the asteroid strike that created a virtual nuclear holocaust that wiped out most forms of life on the surface of the earth, but there was something more that came out of those findings. Velikovsky determined from examining catastrophic uplifts in the earth’s crust and vegetarian dinosaurs that died instantaneously with plants still in their mouths that an extraterrestrial force so powerful that when it struck the earth an incredible upheaval occurred that lifted the earth’s crust into the upper atmosphere and created a global conflagration! There was no pathogen or other event that could have resulted in a virtual spontaneous extinction of the population of the animal kingdom at that time.

But, here’s the kicker. How was Darwin’s theory exposed for being inadequate to account for his version of evolution? Emmanuel Velikovsky proved that rather than centuries or thousands of years of evolutionary change, the spontaneous effect of mutation created by destruction and damaged tissue brought about mutation that accelerated adaptation within a very short time! So the process of evolution could occur almost instantaneously as organisms proved to be this robust and fit for survival! Three of his books are “Earth in Upheaval”, “Ages in Chaos”, and “Worlds in Collision”. The man took amazing persecution from the scientific community supposedly dedicated to the search for truth, but satellite imagery eventually redeemed him when it proved the existence of a giant asteroid crater in the Gulf of Mexico just offshore of the Yucatan Peninsula!

Now for the first Darwin Award! That would be Thomas Siebold, the well-known survivalist, whose treks into extreme wilderness regions won him the respect of his followers, but like most of these types of self-assured dare devils he ignored his own limitations. He was overmatched by the remote environment and those mysterious entities who make it their home. Although Thomas was warned with beasts beating against the walls of one resting station he had stayed the night in and had been sighted at the first one he stayed at, Thomas continued deeper into the interior of Alaska’s Gates of Alaska’s National Park, and it likely cost him his life. No survival medal for you, Pal.

Next, we shall bestow the Darwin Award posthumously upon what traces remain of Wilderness Photographer extraordinaire, Marcus Chen, who apparently was never intended to breed further! Marcus set out in August of 2023 into the “Silent Valley” of the Cascade Mountain wilderness in Northern California. He intended to spend 3 weeks in one of the most remote and uncharted areas of the Pacific Northwest, an area with frequent Sasquatch sightings that was forbidden land according to local Native American tribes, but Marcus went anyway! Marcus steadfastly delved deep into dense forest that underwent extreme and unpredictable weather patterns and was rarely visited by hikers or scientists.

When Marcus Chen encountered Bigfoot creatures he described in his journal on several occasions, who showed no signs of restraint or fear, what did Marcus do? Why he just trudged onward through the fog until he disappeared in it! Faced with huge powerful feral humanoids, rather than reconsidering his further travel into the heart of the deep dark woods, Marcus pressed onward! May he rest in peace wherever his remains are. Marcus Chen neither brought a weapon such as a rifle, bear spray, or a Taser, didn’t bother to take along a companion, no sir. Marcus steadfastly entered at his own peril, and like any species too unwary to survive their own unwise decisions, ended up, a disturbing page in the many stories of vanished wilderness experts. R.I.P. Sometimes it seems to me that there are those of us who simply have a death wish.

Thirdly, I would offer up the next and final category of Darwin Award Recipients, and that would be those who have insisted upon taking the MRNA serum shots intended for the Covid 19 plannedemic. If ever there were a species not intended to reproduce or to possess the intelligence to progress further along in human history it would be these willing and submissive primates who took an unproven and unsafe vaccination that did not even relieve the symptoms of a virus of questionable origin . Wearing their masks so obediently to the will of their masters and subjecting themselves to the consequences, at least in my opinion was foolish and unconscionable! So, I without prejudice, but with a certain lack of pity, place the Darwin Award upon their laps, of course, figuratively speaking. What you’ve done to yourself, to your genes and the future of your family tree was a perfect example of thoughtless compliance and you paid the price.
