The year is 2017. David Paulides, former law enforcement veteran and author of the 411 Missing Persons book series, has handpicked a team of experts for a Bigfoot safari into the mountains of remote northern California. He is determined once and for all to amass incontrovertible evidence of Sasquatch that science will no longer be able to ignore! His trek will take him to the Indian reservation of the Hoopa tribe, an ancient community where these indigenous people have lived alongside the infamous cryptid! For centuries they have recorded their relationship with the little understood man-like creature described all over the world among different cultures.

The team will be dedicated with all due respect for the Indian elders who have allowed this intrusion into their ancient grounds. This is s break through that could lead to a final solution to the problem of official denial. David has brought along forensics experts, zoological researchers, and anthropologist advisers who will be looking for physical traces as well as DNA evidence and physical proof of habitation in the old forest environment. This will prove two things. 1) That actual undeniable evidence exists 2) That there is an official conspiracy to ridicule and deny verifiable evidence using ridicule or lack of scientific data.

The first day that the party arrives, they are greeted by the Indian elders and a tribal officer who serves as a policeman for the reservation. They have no need to prove anything as they have co-existed with these creatures for Millenia. They are simply allowing Paulides and his people access in order to enlighten man’s knowledge in the outside world. However, the blade that cuts both ways could cause an unwanted influx of hunters, thrill seekers, or opportunists with negative agendas that could impact both the Native Americans and their keepers of the forest!

It is not more than a day’s exploration of the remote area that hair samples are taken and carefully packaged to prevent contamination! Eight-foot-tall claw marks on tree bark are photographed and noted. There is no black bear in the area of making such intentional marks. The investigators feel this is a way of marking territory or communications between these Sasquatch. Next, a clear set of tracks moving from a creek bed into the forest are plaster casted, and they have no resemblance to any fauna that dwell in these woods. The circumstantial evidence collected is extraordinary! This is simply within the first 48 hours.

By nightfall of the 2^nd day the team is seeking relaxation after a long day of hiking and collecting samples, but strange noises of bi-pedal foot falls are detected by the campers among the Paulides team. It seems there is activity that appears to be circling the camp! The rustling of branches, the heavy foot falls, and the sense of being watched, alerts the team that they are no longer alone, and are intruding in someone else’s territory. Eventually, the night settles back down into the normal sounds of a sleeping forest. The following morning after breakfast, a series of trail cameras will be installed in an array to detect movement and travel patterns if possible! They already know that not only Bigfoot, but many other animals can sense infrared motion detection and tend to avoid it!

The Hoopa tribesmen have for centuries struck a deal with the “Forest People” as they call them, to hunt with respect to where they are allowed and to even make offerings of food to the Sasquatch in order to remain on good terms with those who watch from the woods! For decades the Hoopa’s have resisted any cooperation over Bigfoot with park rangers, local police authorities, or individual investigators, but the tribe trusts David Paulides. They know of his reputation and have also had some of their own people come up missing!

After a few days, the trail cam SD cards are collected, but for unknown reasons, many of the cameras have run out of power, failed motion detection operation, or there were deliberate actions made by someone or something to cover the lenses with mud, move the direction of the cameras, or even rip them from the tree trunk! The interaction proves that the Sasquatch are aware, and are resisting being under surveillance! Yet, some photos manage to be taken and partial images emerge to be studied in further detail later. By now, the indistinct presence of the cryptid beings are being glimpsed. They are now making their discrete appearances with cautionary distance from behind foliage! What could this lead to? There have been violent confrontations all over the remote and forested areas of North America, so the team does not naively become elated over this development!

The team, after gathering an impressive amount of evidence, decides they have enough convincing data to approach a number of labs for DNA testing! Paulides advises that before any kind of nasty standoff occurs, they are best advised to leave while things remain non-violent. After all the team only has only two weapons, a hand gun and a rifle, and these are meant for dangerous wildlife such as bears or cougars rather than the Sasquatch who may number in an overwhelming count and converge on the team if they feel threatened! They withdraw with what they have, grateful to the Hoopa’s for accommodating them and allowing them onto their sacred grounds!

As expected, once the team has headed back to civilization and refined their evidence for presentation, some of the more prominent laboratories either refuse to examine the evidence at all, or after receiving the evidence, do acknowledge that it does not match existing databases, but either could be contaminated or that the baseline can only be corroborated by collecting more data! Paulides finds some private labs who are willing to do more serious work without a pre-existing prejudice. One might recall that the late Doctor Roger K. Lier, the surgeon who has removed alien implants from his patients as part of UFO studies has run into the same resistance from several well-known university labs!

Results come in from several labs willing to keep an open mind. They see a timeline that follows evolution from the previous ICE AGE where man’s ancestors and primates such as Gigantopithecus, evolved into separate species going into separate forms of development. Some trace the lineage to many years when some DNA samples suggest that the very closely related genetic similarity of Homo Sapiens DNA to that of cryptids follows different lineage through some unidentified artificial process as though an outside form of technology intervened, forming two independent species this begs the question. Who was here before modern man?
