Unprovoked Cops Viciously Beat Student Then Charge Him With Assault

Charges against a Maryland student were dropped yesterday after video was released showing three unprovoked police officers violently beating him to the ground with batons following a basketball game last month.

As the video reveals, John McKenna, 21, was celebrating a Maryland basketball victory on the evening of March 3rd.

As the student walks down the street close to the university’s College Park campus, he is seen waving his arms and dancing jovially. He then slows, stops and backs away upon seeing several horse mounted police ahead of him.

McKenna is then set upon and viciously slammed against a brick wall by dismounted officers in riot gear, who pummel him with batons, knocking him unconscious according to his lawyer.

As a hefty officer takes a run up and delivers a forceful blow to the legs, McKenna, somehow still standing, is hacked to the ground.

The cops then continue to beat McKenna in the head and body around a dozen times in total as he lays crumpled and motionless, neither resisting nor able to defend himself.

Comment by Against The Law on April 16, 2010 at 9:15pm: yes Gary i agree, as i wrote nothing short of an attack on the horse justifies this. i was going to say "attack on the cop", but that would be ok with me so i used the horse. the animal means more to me than the storm troopers do.

These cops are handpicked to become dehumanized zombies.
Happy trigger shut 'em up type of guys.
On top of the insane training they put them through they make them take all sorts of maddening drugs labeled as food supplements, which make them even more aggressive.

Comment by Against The Law on April 14, 2010 at 3:45am: I sure hope there was something before this brutal attack. like a warning not to approach for some reason. they seemed to be the only two moving toward the storm troopers. If so, nothing short of an attack on the horse should provoke such a brutal attack. a blatant extreme abuse of power. reality is, this happens 24/7 all over. they will label this poor guy a beligerant combatant and lock him up at the nearest FEMA compound, chip him , put him on a FEMA road crew and work him to death. If this don't scare the shit out of you, they've already got to you. Good Luck.
