It’s almost a sport now, watching the mainstream media sycophantically wet themselves with enthusiasm over a Hillary Clinton 2016 presidency run. Senator John McCain even accidentally slipped up and called her president the other day on Face the Nation. The media, our politicians…you know, one big club.

But it’s also interesting to see how some of these same media outlets supporting Hillary would alternately decry genetically modified foods…even though the former Secretary of State is all about it.

Here she is speaking at the June 2014 BIO convention — BIO short for the Biotechnology Industry Organization, a giant Washington-based trade group for the biotech industry.

The question starts after she gets done declaring that the debate on manmade climate change is “settled” (it’s all our fault), around the 28:15 mark. It’s a very informative video, actually. It’s like she’s being interviewed for the job as president. Watch the whole thing and you’ll be able to figure what kind of business as usual (and worse) we’ll get if she’s crowned president. (No, that was not a slip up.)

But let’s be clear, Hillary has been a professional corporatist her entire career. One of her first gigs was working for Rose Law firm, a prestigious Arkansas firm with big business clients the likes of Tyson, Walmart and yes, of course, Monsanto.

In fact, let’s not forget Hillary sat on Walmart’s Board of Directors and oversaw the changes which led to the massive influx of cheap, economy-destroying Chinese goods. Oh yeah. She’s all about NAFTA and CAFTA…which are a large part of what has led to the created border crisis we’re now seeing today. But I digress…

Interesting how in, say, the Huffington Post you’ll see article after article espousing the dangers of GMO foods — to not only us and the environment — and even a report about how Obama is signing orders to protect the GMO industry.

But you’ll also see seemingly contradictory cutesy, low-information pieces like “5 Reasons Why Hillary Clinton Is the Best Person for the Job,” which reads less like actual valid reasons someone should be president and more like something a little kid who has yet to develop critical thinking skills would write.

So GMO is bad for a bajillion reasons, but we need to vote in a pro-GMO president who will pave the way for the proliferation of, you guessed it, MORE GMO? You don’t think it’ll be Hillary in there signing orders to protect GMO next? Give us all a break.

But what do you expect when even Hillary’s most ardent supporters at the DNC couldn’t seem to name one specific accomplishment she had as Secretary of State?

Hell, even the State Dept. spokeswoman couldn’t name one.

I guess accidentally losing $6 billion and ignoring a year’s worth of cables begging for security that lead to the death of four Americans under your watch after you funded the Al Qaeda that killed them doesn’t count.
