Wisconsin, Then Washington!
If you are anywhere remotely near the Mid-West, head to Wisconsin now. We need a movement that can spread from there to the rest of the country. And we need it by next week.
The resolution:

The number to call your congress member:
(202) 224-3121
Timing could change, but currently it’s set for Thursday, March 17.
That could hardly be better. We’ve planned a lobby day in DC and brown bag vigils at congress members’ local offices on the 16th. The peace movement will gather in Washington on the 18th knowing exactly who stands where. We’ll rally and engage in nonviolent civil resistance at the White House on Saturday t he 19th. We’ll protest the torture of Bradley Manning at Quantico on the 20th. And we’ll pressure Congress the following week too.
Three years ago Bush and Obama and McCain sat around a table and decided to take enough money to alleviate everybody’s hardship all over the country and . . . gave it to Wall Street crooks instead of prosecuting them for their crimes. Our government’s financial crises could be solved by ending a war that two-thirds of us want ended. It’s time to bring a working people’s movement for peace to the nation’s capital.
