We are rapidly coming to the conclusion that many supposed facts we were taught in school about history and civilization have been outright lies. Why? In order for “The Standard” to be upheld many of the scholarly legends of archaeology were needing to be preserved. These prima donnas of the secular world of ancient civilization studies sought a unified theory that would be taught despite the gaping holes in the evidence. With satellite technology spotting anomalies on the earth surface, with ground radar able to identify objects below the surface, with the discovery that cities that were destroyed did not perish and disappear but were simply rebuilt on top of the rubble of the former town. This actually hid the remains of the previous structures.

Reoccurring holocausts

What is being found to be the true status of the ancient civilization is that approximately every 5,000 to 5,100 years civilization suffers a devastating blow. Either by a comet strike or asteroid or perhaps major super volcanic eruptions, mankind on the surface of the earth is nearly wiped out and all technological advancement is reverted back to the Stone Age. Perhaps even wars using the type of weaponry we have today have destroyed previous incarnations of man’s societies leaving little in the proof that would have revealed what had transpired in the distant past.

More contrasting evidence

One of the pervading myths that Africa was the cradle of civilization where the transitionary primate “Lucy” was discovered and therefore was one of the earliest examples of early human-like beings is now suspect of being a wrong assumption. Modern archaeological discoveries are leading researchers into a new paradigm of history that there have been several cradles of civilization. From Mesopotamia to Siberia where the Aleutian Island chain could be crossed by foot over the Pacific Ocean basin to the Amazonian cradle of mankind in South America there are simply areas rich in artifacts that have been ignored or undiscovered.

The western continental civilizations

Graham Hancock believes that major archeological evidence in the Americas will reveal that these two continents played a much bigger role in the making of the human ancient past than previously believed. One problem is the hierarchical system of educational methodology dedicated to perpetuating its assumptions has held back new discoveries as anomalies or what are known as erratics were discovered. Which are contradicting evidence to the date and origin of artifacts in the same strata.

Need for better expertise

Another problem when evaluating the ancient pyramids that exist all over the world is that ancient people using the primitive tools of antiquity could move and cleanly cut 60 ton blocks of limestone and basalt when modern construction tractors and cranes can’t even excavate them much less transport these heavy cut stones from hundreds of miles away. When you have archeologists rather than engineers and architects familiar with resistance and the technical ability to manipulate it, you have the wrong profession attempting to solve the mystery. So, we have these technological wonders of the ancient world, very similar pyramid structures in South America as well as the Middle East, and now comes such evidence from Antarctica. How were these sophisticated marvels created by people who sacrificed humans to the Sun Gods by cutting out their hearts?  

Not the owners

The new conclusion is that these structures were inherited by less developed peoples who occupied these vacated structures made by more sophisticated beings who apparently abandoned these great pyramids built all over the world. Perhaps 100 years after the technically superior cultures left, the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans moved into these great creations after the true originators were gone. These are the primitive tribes who practiced sacrifice not the ones who brilliantly constructed these massive and expertly built geometric marvels.

Refusal to accept the truth

Just as Emmanuel Velikovsky postulated that an asteroid or comet wreaked havoc on the dinosaurs causing mass extinctions before science could verify his findings, he also theorized that several prior civilizations had been wiped out by such catastrophes and that humanity suffered from collective amnesia which accounted for the forgotten past. Velikovsky suffered from the savageness of the scientific community refusing to acknowledge the new revelations. He was persecuted for blowing up the old paradigm with new findings. We have been under the assumption for too long that science was about finding the truth and accommodating new discoveries when it tends to preserve a long standing series of assumptions that can be disproven by sudden and new discovery.

Evidence of frequent insults from outer space

We now know that all over the floor of the ocean in the Gulf of Mexico are smaller series of craters that indicated a massive collision with either a meteor shower or a failed attempt at trying to destroy an incoming asteroid that broke it into many fragments hitting the earth like a cluster of incoming destructive missiles. The former assumption that the solar system is a relatively calm and orderly place does not account for the regularly occurring events like the incredible destruction at Tunguska in northern Russia where hundreds of miles of forest were smashed flat by an air burst of perhaps a comet, asteroid, anti-matter, or an extraterrestrial weapon used to send a signal to mankind. Such discoveries still remain to be uncovered.
