The voting is compulsory in OZ. About 3 years ago I sent a conditional acceptance note to the Electoral Commission CEO and my corporate name was removed from the ballot.

When people realise that voting in a no-real-choice system is futile, counter-productive & criminally enabling, perhaps they'll have the sense to turn their backs & stay away from the polling stations. A clear 'no confidence' non-turnout would send the ultimate message to all the shysters & their acolytes.

In my zone it's Red for Lefties, Blue for Righties, Black for neither or either, Green for weirdos, and any other colour for the undecided.
