All your life you have been told you were special because you were unique and there’s no one else like you. God made you because he wanted a person just like you. The problem is you were unleashed into an inherently evil world. As time marched on and your became an adult you started to see just how powerless most of us are as individuals and we wonder, does our vote really count, can we really make a difference, does anyone really care what we think or value? Yes, there are the Einstein’s of the world, the Tesla’s of the world, and the Albert Schweitzer’s, who leave their positive mark on humanity, but still we tell ourselves it just wasn’t in the cards for us to not just be great, but to be positively influential. One could probably say that no one person in history ever made a bigger splash upon civilization than Jesus Christ, who in only 3 of the 33 years he lived spent on his ministry changed the not only the world, but the future to come.

Why?

But, if it is true that most of us simply were not destined to make such a huge impact on society how is it that the mad men so often prevail? Lennon and Stalin the authors of the Bolshevik scourge! Karl Marx and his Communist Manifesto, inspiring millions of fools to their own self destruction! Hitler, his hatred for the Jews, his fanaticism, vented upon the millions of innocent Europeans, English, and Americans in the bloodiest conflict in world history, the Second World War. Mao Zedong, a warlord in China, who after allowing the Nationalist Party under Chiang Kai Chek, to expend itself fighting the Japanese, then capitalizing on a civil war that would eventually result in the extermination of millions of Chinese who did not want to knuckle under to Communism. Castro, the supposed man of the people, who was actually form a rich plantation owning family who toppled a thriving resort industry nation and upon the blood of his countrymen, transformed it into a ruthless dictatorship keeping its people poor and in fear. How is it that these individuals rise from the dog heap to leave their bloody imprint on the pages of history?

The irony

In life on earth, we have only martyrs, who die promising us our just rewards in the afterlife after self-sacrifice and volunteering in a ravaged world of psychopaths and suffering. We have heroes whose impact was felt on the battlefield so that others could survive and the good could realize victory, but they too give their lives. The Kennedy’s, the George Patton’s, the Custer’s, the Davey Crockett’s dying for the good of noble causes while thousands go unrecognized for their self-sacrifice, but for all of them the common denominator is death for the lives they saved. I ask again, how is it that the mad men, the despots, the zealots with their delusional drive, who motivate the masses to commit destruction and death if not actually doing it to themselves. When they say human nature is evil they’re leaving out another defining component-self destructive.

Only thing we can do

What we must accept in life is that within our own limited sphere of influence, we must do good as, fallible as we are, and hope for the best because it is too easy to ask what can I possibly do alone? That question seems never to have crossed the minds of the mad men who have strafed the corridors of history with blood, hatred, and death! Still we ask ourselves, how can those with such burning hatred of the rich, or the color of skin they don’t approve of, of the perceived oppression that prosperity angers them, that one tribe out to annihilate another tribe, that one race has the right to subjugate all others, that self-righteous billionaires have the superior vision to act as megalomaniacs? There is no logical, fair, or justifiable manner in which to explain the twisted travail that exists on planet earth other than human nature! You might even call it the scourge of all human endeavor.

The Russian mad man

So, here in the present is Vladimir Putin, a Russian former KGB Agent, who by all accounts enjoyed beating the shit out of people under interrogation. He quickly rose through the ranks of city government to eventually rise to the office of being the President of a fallen Russian empire that had been bankrupted by President Ronald Reagan’s armament race and his appeal to Mikail Gorbachev, President of the failing Soviet Union to relinquish the iron fist of Communist rule. Grief stricken over the breakup of the USSR, a new mad man was sculpted into a war mongering despot, only this time, thanks to human technological achievement could begin a conflict capable of laying waste to the entire human race should a nuclear exchange take place. Once again, a mere individual has the ability to impact all of the human race, and not in a good way either.

Using a shotgun to get rid of a fly?

Were evil and corrupt forces at work in Ukraine, ask the US Department of Defense building germ warfare labs in Ukraine, ask Joe Biden and his son Hunter, the crack head pedophile selling access to his father’s influence while Joe admits publicly that he bribed the government of Ukraine to fire a prosecutor in hot pursuit of his boy who was also sitting on the board of a Ukrainian energy corporation (Burisma) and had no business being there with a billion US tax dollars! But, Vladimir, you don’t target and murder citizens, hospitals, and public facilities to prosecute the guilty especially when you are invading a sovereign nation! Your soldiers, expecting to be welcomed, are running over the bodies of determined Ukrainians who don’t want your soldiers in their country? Not only Putin, not only the corrupt elements within Ukraine, but the US government, and NATO all have blood on their hands in this tragedy! And, the legacy of the individual mad man lingers on!
