In history there are secrets either kept from the public or that never become the official narrative. They could be conclusions about a war that will inevitably be lost, it could be of an impending coups, or it could even be the forbidden knowledge that would cause hysteria among the masses if officially voiced. Below, you will find 3 historic examples of top military leadership that knew the unthinkable truth being kept from the public but was being publicly suppressed.

The year is 1942 and the closing weeks of a war that had begun for the US on June 7, 1941. In the aftermath of the battle of Midway with the loss of 4 fleet carriers and a heavy battle cruiser, the Japanese Imperial Navy is forced to consider a number of incorrect assumptions they have made. Four of the most respected and decorated Japanese admirals sit in a secret meeting weighing the foreseeable outcome of a war they began with complete confidence. The admirals had all come to the unacceptable realization that the American Navy and its pilots were not the green inexperienced ocean warriors the Japanese had anticipated! American pilots had proven aggressive and disciplined under pressure. American tactics had proven dangerously unpredictable. The unflappable faith the Japanese had in their doctrine had been proven wrong.

The admirals began number crunching, estimating the vast resources needed to cover a Pacific theater war, and with a US Naval Fleet that had proven it could predict where and when the Japanese would strike next, and that from now on, the treachery of American intelligence could expose the plans of an Imperial Fleet that thought of itself as invincible, but now vulnerable instead. The Japanese had conveniently overlooked the impact of an American submarine force that roamed the waters of the Pacific and had already begun taking its toll on Japanese merchant shipping which would soon begin to starve the garrisons of the fortified islands that the Japanese has established over the previous decades in their plans of building an empire that spread across the ocean and would overwhelm a US Navy they thought would be inadequate to stave off Japanese military ambitions!

They were wrong, and Admiral Yamamoto’s statement that claimed the Japanese would run wild in the first year to 18 months before US industrial might could produce a superior navy that could overcome the Japanese was now vastly shortened to less than 6 months. After the battles of the Coral Sea and Midway, the Japanese staff of admirals agreed the outcome was inescapable, the US war machine would be unleashed in high gear and it would only be a matter of time. The rogue admirals also knew they would be called upon to lead a dying effort in some hope of miraculously defeating an awakened giant with a terrible resolve or that peace negotiations might somehow come about. If not, they would all face the unenviable task of resistance to the inevitable end!

Since 1943 when to many German military experts the Nazi war effort with Rommel being driven out of North Africa and the successful Allied invasions of Sicily and the Italian peninsula coast while Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia had been stopped at St. Petersburg, the message was clear. However, the Fuhrer would never accept defeat or surrender, and, instead was convinced the advanced “Wonder Weapons” could offset the Allied advantage and bring about victory or perhaps a negotiated peace. Since 1943 a number of plots to try and assassinate Hitler have been attempted but each and every time something in the window of opportunity had failed.

Operation Valkyrie was the ambitious scheme of several generals of Hitler’s command to put an end to a war that was already causing huge losses and suffering to Germany’s civilians thanks to the combined RAF and US Eighth Air Force bombing raids that had penetrated deep into the German Fatherland and were destroying Nazi manufacturing plants. As the German public was being fed nothing but encouraging propaganda, the war was grinding to a bloody eventuality, and those convinced that Hitler must be eliminated saw it as the only way to save Germany from a devastating outcome!  Despite the iron grip of the Nazi Gestapo, the fanatical devotion of a brainwashed military, and a compliant civilian population, on July 20, 1944 a planted bomb in a bunker where the Fuhrer and his closest staff would be meeting, would be detonated from a leather briefcase! Although Hitler was wounded, he survived as the conspiracy to take control of the military government and announce a negotiation for peace with the allies failed! All who conspired to assassinate the Fuhrer were apprehended and executed. Field Marshall Rommel who knew of Operation Valkyrie was allowed the respect of being offered a loaded Lugar pistol to commit suicide on his own recognizance in a gesture of honor for his past military conquests.

The year is 1953 and the US armed forces have been perplexed over the continued enigma of the UFO mystery that continues to elude clear explanations despite public pressure and even incidents that have resulted in the deaths and disappearances of US interceptor pilots. Meanwhile Project Blue Book under Captain Edward Ruppelt has continued to gather convincing witness testimony, photo evidence, and support privately from high ranking officers that are quickly coming to the conclusion that UFO’s are of an extraterrestrial origin! However, the official narrative presented to the American public is that UAP’s are mistakenly identified weather events, conventional aircraft, hoaxes, loss of pilots caused by midair accidents, but certainly no threat to national security!

With a growing will to expand Project Blue Book assets and even involve other intelligence branches of the military to assist in investigations, the private conclusion of the upper brass has been that a serious problem over the protection of US air space is becoming more and more of priority as the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) was ready to lend further support in evaluating Blue Book files and ongoing case probes. The extraterrestrial conclusion arrived at by Project Blue Book is sent up the chain of command and for review by President Harry S. Truman! Unfortunately, General Hoyt Vandenberg refuses to forward the results to the President and instead hands it back down to Blue Book asking for further verification and proof.

With support of such crucial military commanders as CIA Director, Admiral Roscoe Hillenkeotter, Major General John Sanford, Major Jesse Marcel, and General Douglas MacArthur, US Army General Nathan F. Twining US military continued to adopt official denial as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to this day! Current revelations by pilot witness accounts and improved camera footage still seems to meet official resistance!
