"In March of this year, President Obama visited Israel to deliver, both in words and symbolic actions,the message  that the United States and Israel were essentially one, a vivid demonstration of Vice President Biden’s oft-repeated pledge that there must be “no daylight, no daylight” between U.S. and Israeli policies."
And this sentiment reaches to the Pollard issue, which also was brought in at the 11th hour of these "initiative" talks. In my mind, this is a make or break moment and one ALL Americans should be mindful of.
We ARE NOT ONE WITH ISRAEL. We cannot be one with another country unless we identify mutually inclusive interests and actions as serving one sovereignty. That is unacceptable and the only defense Pollard supporters ever offered up. Pollard did no harm to the US because Israel and the US are one. Let that sink in.
