All my heroes are dead
What could be going on inside of my head?
Within the club of twenty six
How about teaching me a few guitar licks?
The world changes so fast
Nothing good ever seems to last
This sea of tears seems too vast
This silly role in which I’ve been cast,
They say the world is a stage
Just waiting for that exploding page
A sample of more road rage
The unattainable wisdom of a sage,
Seeing you after so long ago
Bitter memories fade so slow
I no longer know where to go
Been way to long since the afterglow,
There’s this volatile future
Leaving many of us unsure
Prospects are good for a perilous tour
From which there is no cure,
Notify my next of kin
That I took a ride on a dolphin
One step ahead of the atomic dust bin
Fatalistic passages aren’t supposed to be a sin,
All my heroes are dead
