I don't know about Hungary, but the Ukranian/Polish dislike for each other has gone back a long time.
The Wolyn Massacre. 79 years ago, around 100,000 Poles were slaughtered with utmost cruelty by Ukrainian nationalists. Wolyn, a Nazi-occupied region of Poland and is now part of Ukraine.
