No, it originally meant 'having no ruler' from the Greek root words arkh(ós)  -  an- + arkh- ruler, from arkhein to rule

NOT leaders...A voluntarist society could still have leaders (i.e those qualified with certain expertise to hold such a position and agreed upon voluntarily by individuals)

Arch also means first, earliest, the oldest in time...and additionally the etymology evolved to mean prototypical / preeminent as well as sly and cunning - extrapolate from that based on the word Archon  (one of the nine chief magistrates in ancient Athens - and the Demiurge control element of Gnostic beliefs - http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/vida_alien/alien_archons02.htm)

(However the word has been heavily corrupted and the new corrupted definitions - primarily 'a state of chaos / without order' are deliberately overused and become the accepted norm)

Unfortunately, very few people on this planet possess the intelligence or mentality to engage and operate in a true voluntarist society as espoused by Larkin Rose, Mark Passio etc

Only the truly like minded could build and adhere to such an ideology  and operate a successful break away society.

That is more apparent everyday.

My own experience has taught me that, the most people operate on a mix of socialist entitlement / or narcissistic greed capitalism - depending on what situation they are in.

Bluntly either way they want stuff - cheap if they have money, free if they don't.

Neither place any value in the knowledge, skills, labor, work or time of others.

Put it this way, those over the age of 30 who have ONLY NOW just woken up to the fact that something is very wrong with the world and want others who are awake to provide them with the precis /easy Cliff notes version of what's going on with the world, because they are too damn lazy to research it for themselves - will most likely not possess the mentality / what it takes to operate in a voluntary society.

Without that personal revelation and shock of the reality of the situation - its worthless.

If you try to help such types to learn and educate themselves, they are more likely to take note of what supplies, equipment and tools you have and turn up one day to remove them from your possession.

Yes I am pessimistic, but this is 2018, not 2008 - and experience and human nature changes a person.
