That's a hard one to thumbs up when you see that sort of shit go down. What were those Canadians of British heritage thinking to allow this destruction of their history to occur without even a whisper of protest, obviously not much. Maybe they where even the ones doing it in a misguided display of "white guilt" who knows. Maybe they are weak or unthinking. I don't know the historic arrangements for Canada but when she turned up in my country (by way of messenger in 1836) in response to urgent plea form native chiefs in 1832 regarding lawlessness her intervention was Welcomed. Her words were "In consideration her majesty Victoria Queen of the UK and Ireland extends to the natives of nz her royal protection and imparts to them all the rights and privileges of British subjects " In other words White Privilege !. Violence, infanticide, and cannibalism then became outlawed and everyone was better off.
