@ Vincent, I remember Chuck and am glad to see he is happy and doing well in his new life in the Middle East.

@Elaine, I do remember my mom talking about the injustice of Candy Barr being sent to prison for less than an ounce of mj and this was surely a set-up by the powers that be in Dallas.

As for Ruby, he was first a great actor as he had everyone fooled. He was sent to Dallas by the Chicago mob. He ingratiated himself with the Dallas PD, they were welcome in his clubs and he presented himself as a "police buff" who was always hanging out at Dallas PD headquarters and bringing them sandwiches and treats. That's why they didn't think anything about him being in the garage that day he shot Oswald who he was well acquainted with. The idea that he was avenging Kennedy's death is ridiculous. He was ordered to silence Oswald. I just finished reading Lee and Me by Judyth Vary Baker and it's one of the best books I've read on the Kennedy assassination because it's personal and written by a woman.I highly recommend it.

That was a very long time ago...I may have the time frame confused....when I went to the club, I think(?) it was about 1963.

I was too young at the time to go but I did anyway...Jack Ruby's club (After it was no longer a strip joint) had all of these entertainers in one night:

Ike and Tina Turner, Little Richard, Bo Diddley on the stage ALL in one night!

I didn't know they were becoming Atheists....Wellll, they may evolve to search  deeper...they'll feel safe enough to do it.  I was once an "agnostic"...during a time period where I was doubting...that changed within a few months.  I had had so many "unanswered questions."

P.S.  I did find my answers...after a great deal of prayer, reading and researching.

@ Elaine. BTW, I grew up in Dallas. Jack Ruby was a 'bar' person in Big D too, lol, and my mom knew him. But where I live now, and Vincent and Krypke know where, there's many people from Iran. So I certainly believe you about that woman being loving and gracious. @ Vincent, the Iranians here are either Muslim or Jewish while some give up on religion altogether, essentially becoming Atheists.

Nikki, she never talked about her country, her religion or anything.  She was one of the most loving gracious people I have ever met in my life.  She made an impact on everyone she met.

Thank you, Vincent. LOL Believe me they were not the first crooks I had to learn to deal with.

Dentists, doctors and lawyers wanting in the business can be real "A-Holes."  Their motive is somewhat different...most of it comes down to that old evil, "Greed"....and thinking since I was a "bar" person, I must be stupid or an easy target to take advantage of.  

Never quite figured that out nor did I take any energy to figure it all out.
