Everything we put on the ground filters into the water table and out to the oceans, then to the clouds and back in the ground and into the plants and....

There is no safe poison be it chemical or nuclear. Bleach in the washer, ammonia on the windows and so on. The immediate results may be satisfying, but here again Ammonia and Bleach are poisons.

Next we might look at carpet treatments, cosmetics... ad nauseam.

TO  amdarvon:   No  you  don't  have  to  go  back  to  school.  We  have  been  blindfolded  into  believing  what  is  being  grown  is  good  for  us  when  in  fact  it   is  not.  I  have  round - up  for  spraying  on  the  weeds  that  grow  in  cracks  of  concrete  step  stones.  It  works  very  well  -  but  to  have  it  sprayed  on  our  food  supply  is  a  definate  No - No.  I  have  been  ill  for  that  past  two  years  because  I  always  eat  "Whole  grain"  products.  Now  I  know  why.  I  have  friends  that  are  sterile.  And  it  goes  on  to  get  worse.  Organ  is  a  liver,  kidney,  spleen  &  so  on.  Organic  is  a  scientific  word  for  'orangism'  and  we  can  go  on.  But  it  is  a  word  used  to  confuse  the  public  into  buying  it.  After  all  how  many  people  do  you  know  studied  Science  after  grade  10??  Not  many.  They  don't  know  what  they  are  eating.  Horrible  as  it  may  sound,  if   a  child  is  born  mutant  or  deformed  it  is  put  to  sleep  and  destroyed.  Mental  illness  can  not  be  seen  on  a  new  born.  But  it  is  in  the  genes  of  either  of  the  parents.

That  is  how  the  wheat  is  mutated,  and  corn,  and  any  other  product  we  have  been  buying  in  the  stores.  Why  you're  told  to  read  the  lables  is  to  find  out  if  that  product  has  been  modified  in  any  way.   You  never  know  what  has  been  added  to  a  box  of  shreddies  or  pasta;  etc.   Read  the  lables!  It's  a  Law  in  Canada  called  disclosure  &  it  has  to  be  on  every  package.

Thanks James. To Anthony: Agreed. This word has been manipulated to meaning containing little fertilizer or pesticide from the original meaning of containing none. But GMO uses Organism not Organic. The word organism is believed to be from the word organize which is derived from the word organ (organic as well) . I had to look that up. I need to go back to school.
