Thanks so much for your caring thoughts steve. Many folks have lost access to their property with others having to be rescued from rooftops along with their pets and livestock. Reports of 11 bodies have been confirmed in lame stream media although more have been reported by folks taking to social media. I am safe in the southern island of nz where there has been no weather switch but have many friends and family members in the north have been adversely affected in various ways. (a hard lesson for preppers who lost entire food stocks and other provisions to the snap flood unable to be carried out with them. The very few having gold and sliver coins that could be carried in zipped pockets were better off being able to pawn them quickly for the cash they needed. Something to think about) Livestock get rescued last.

Hey Kea, I don't know if you are in aus. or nz but hope you were not affected by this devastation,my heart and prayers go out for those poor folks.
