Japan Declares State of Emergency On Another Nuclear Power Plant As It Preps For Another Meltdown

Note: Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan – The Intel Hub

The following opening statement to this article is an excerpt;

Novinite – A state of emergency has been declared at a Japanese nuclear facility at Onagawa after excessive radiation levels were recorded there following the major earthquake, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced.

The aftermath of the earthquake & tsunami leaves Japan in a state of emergency as over 6 million households are now without power (over 10% of Japans population) as aftershocks tremble about every two hours.

There is talk that there might be a second massive quake and a possible tsunami as nothing from mother nature is guaranteed.

Over 20,000 people are reported stranded.

Long lines have been reported at stores and gas stations as all the shelves are clearing out rapidly.

The massive 9.1 earthquake shifted japans coastline 8 feet.

It has also been reported that the earth itself shifted on it’s axis from this major planetary disaster.

Japan has now declared a state of emergency at another nuclear power plant (a second power plant).

To top it off the first reactor was set to be decommissioned back in early 2011 as an excerpt from the following article points out;

(Reuters) – A 40-year-old nuclear reactor facing a possible meltdown in northeastern Japan was originally scheduled to go out of commission in February but had its operating license extended another 10 years.

Expert: Japan’s radiation could spread to U.S.

By David Edwards

Sunday, March 13th, 2011 -- 11:41 am

As Japan races to avert multiple nuclear meltdowns, one expert warned Sunday that radiation could spread to the U.S.

Joe Cirincione, president of Ploughshares Fund, told Fox News' Chris Wallace Japan's nuclear crisis is unprecedented.

"One reactor has had half the core exposed already," he explained. "This is the one they're flooding with sea water in a desperate effort to prevent it from a complete meltdown. They lost control of a second reactor next to it, a partial meltdown, and there is actually a third reactor at a related site 20-kilometers away they have also lost control over. We have never had a situation like this before."

"The worst case scenario is that the fuel rods fuse together, the temperatures get so hot that they melt together in a radioactive molten mass that bursts through the containment mechmisms and is exposed to the outside. So they spew radioactivity in the ground, into the air, into the water. Some of the radioactivity could carry in the atmosphere to the West Coast of the United States."

"Really?" a surprised Wallace asked. "I mean, thousands of miles across the Pacific?"

"Oh, abosolutely. Chernoby
