This news is not dated at all unless you consider 23 days dated. The story was just posted on Youtube on Oct 1st, 2010. This site is international after all with many of our members and readers residing in the EU. Personally I doubt very much if people in the EU care that there is already one on this continent. With Europe's superior rail system many of them might actually get a chance to use if it they want to.
