Aww... cool stories guys! Cool vs. Lame:   Before a Nickleback show ('08, I think) a bunch of guys rolled out of what looked like a short bus and walked up to me under a lit overhang where I was trying to finish my drink and get inside because it was cold. They were all huddling too, and one of them, ugly and grimy- started being all "heeeyy" and I said "yea, probably not." Later at the rail, the bassist starts pointing at me and then I realized the guys outside were band- the gross one was the lead singer! I gestured to the bassist with my hands up  " Hey, I didn't know!" and he rolled laughing, tapped a security guy on the shoulder to pass me his pic and told me to hang for the after-show. I didn't. No regrets. Yeeez...

Beautiful bird, Hollywood! And thats you?!

ba-dam-ssssss!

Not as cool as hanging with the Mule crew by any means... except maybe for the guitar player for the band that was playing that night.  He's gone on to do lots of studio work on top hits, several big name bands, and now touring with a old classic rock band with lots of credentials.

haha awesome story....and so true about the unplanned shit.

I was hanging with my bandmates at a show of a band we were all friends with.  A tour bus pulls up to the front door and Tommy Shaw and company came in and partied with us, even played a set.  AND there was much rejoicing!

Actually partied w/ these guys on their bus one night, totally by accident, 2003, a guitarist bud who owned a bar we played at, also worked setting up portable stage/lighting/audio systems. was in bar drinking, he closing early, asked why, told me he was doing stage for the Mule over @ the college (I had no idea) but needed a ride, no prob, Lets go. Drove round back of stadium, joe flashed his lami, we idled up & parked next to the tour bus. I really wasnt gonna hang around cuz I had a minor commitment arranged earlier + I had this guy with me

was havin a smoke w/ joe outside before i took off when here comes the band off the bus, going in to start the show, i was humbled. I started towards my ride to leave when one of them hollered @ me, comin over and askin me what breed was that beautiful bird? Umbrella Cockatoo, Does it like to party & loud shows? told him she used to get on stage with me sometimes when we played, was a bigger pothead than I was, & she's been around this insane music scene for a while now, never asking me my plans he whipped out a BkStg Lami and said "Well lets go blow these college pukes minds then" How could I say "No thanks Mr. Haynes, I got to help a college puke bud drop his transmission"...pfffffttttt, righhhht. long 1 short, hung round back stage, ended up on bus after, spent next 2 hours in a smokey fog, sore ribs (laughing) and a blinded parrot (not 1st time) 

A fun time was had by all, cept my bud w/ the bad transmission, he'd get over it ;)
