Islamophobia: New Anti-Communism?
Islamophobia was quick to rise after the 9/11 attacks in the U.S. But recently, it has emerged again, following controversial plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero, with President Obama backing the decision. Online show host Lori Harfenist, also known as the Resident, asked New Yorkers whether Islam poses a real threat to American values.

I don't align myself with any political party but I don't think there's any excuse for war, I'm an adult who's in charge of my own body and don't want to be told what I can or cannot ingest and I want to be left alone and not told what to do or have problems opening a business due to endless regulations. So I'll vote for whichever candidate promises those things (not that I have any faith that they will actually come through). And if they promise to end the Patriot Act, the police state and the surveillance grid, I might even send them a donation.

I did read it Leif, it's an interesting point of view. My comparisons are along the lines of anti-war vs pro-war, legalization vs supporting the war on drugs and 'leave me alone' vs Nanny state laws.

the Koch brothers are a huge neocon special interest fund behind the whole Islamophobia movement.

The Koch special interest also has funding with the Glenn Beck people and organization, as well as folks like Michael Savage.
