to the person who thinks the  "The strip of land belongs to Isreal,and so does Jordan,Syria,Iraq. because the bible says so?? well~ maybe he should read it again and let the Holy Spirit teach him instead of a christian zionist preacher :) and watch the video i linked in on this page and learn a little something. We are all on a learning curve here and say what we say because we have passion about it ~ i learned a lot form the video i posted its history and very telling maybe a little compassion?  i was sincere about my beliefs may times and many times i was sincerely wrong! passionate but wrong~ learn fast please we are running out of time!

We, as humans, need to understand that the course mankind has taken to now is not going to bring anything to anyone at all. There will be no winners. We are destroying ourselves, directly or indirectly!

Israel has again attacked Gaza. In its aerial and ground assault that began on Saturday, November 10th, at least 7 Palestinians have been killed, 5 of them civilians, 3 of whom were children. Up to 52 others, including 6 women and 12 children, have been wounded.

As in every vicious military offensive Israel carries out in Gaza, the dominant narrative is that it is a response to rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel. This is how it’s being reported in the US, and this is how virtually every American understands it.

And it’s a lie.

It’s true that on Saturday, prior to the expanded Israeli bombardment, the military wing of the Popular Front For the Liberation of Palestine shot an anti-tank missile at an Israeli Defense Forces vehicle near the Gaza border, wounding four Israeli soldiers. But what prompted the firing of the anti-tank missile?

First, on Monday, November 5th, Israeli forces shot and killed 23 year old Ahmad Nabhani when he “approached the border fence with Israel.” According to at least one account, Nabhani was mentally challenged.

Then, on Thursday, November 8th, the Israeli Occupation Forces – eight tanks and four bulldozers, to be exact – invaded southern Gaza, shooting and killing a 13-year old boy. Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (via):

According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 16:30 on Thursday, as a result of the indiscriminate shooting by IOF military vehicles that had moved into the ‘Abassan village, 13-year-old Ahmed Younis Khader Abu Daqqa was seriously wounded by a bullet to the abdomen. At the time he was shot, Ahmed had been playing football with his friends in front of his family’s house, located nearly 1,200 meters away from the area where the IOF were present.

So, even if honest observers brush to the side the cruel and inhumane Israeli blockade on Gaza and refuse to let it influence the equation of exactly which side started this flare up of violence, it is clear Israel started this latest clash. And in response to the response, Israel has waged a harsh, disproportionate military assault.

America was inhabited by Indians.

Besides, the question here is not that. Whatever happened to the borders at were set in 1967 that Israel agreed to too? How come there were Jews living in Palestine even before there was this mass movement? There were no problems then but, obviously there will be problems galore if one tries to evict the other from their house they have lived in for generations. 

And Bible, I am sure you know, has been manipulated over and over again. However, I do not negate the fact that there were Jews living there earlier too and most definitely they should be able to live there even now but, not in the manner in which they are trying to occupy the land.

And if you say that Bible's word is THE WORD, sure,  let's say it is. But, then, what happens to all the countless other things that the Bible says about people's conduct with each other and how they should coexist? What about Jesus' teachings? If Bible is the reference point, why consider some points and not consider others?

You've gone an absolute tangent, Jim. My response was exclusively in reference to the statement that the dead child's picture was just "government propaganda" and, you know what, don't even try saying anything about whether or not I know anything about military conflict. People who themselves live in such places, like Gaza and the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, etc. see it everyday and have been seeing it for over 6 decades now. So don't even touch that subject of armed conflict.

As for people dying during an armed conflict and making no difference because 'it happens' is just the attitude why tyrannies have been able to gain a strong foothold in history and, why history, there is an ongoing example of things in the US that support this. Secondly, what has been happening between Israel and Palestine is NOT a declared war. On the contrary, it is a one-sided ethnic genocide by an outside occupier that has been milking the US to its heart's content, in every way possible. War is two sided, not what you see happening in this part of the world when in last decade 6500 Palestinians have been killed by IDF whereas Israeli casualties account for 69 deaths.

Suzie, I couldn't agree with you more. You are right in your assessment. Israel, cannot be trusted. Look at its past record and one can easily see that Israel does not spare America either.

You make very clear you know nothing about armed conflict. The Isreali military are no angels. When it comes to protect the Jewesh people,they don't play. You youeself will become collateral damage in the near future and it will be from your boyfriend or person down the street. As for kids getting killed? Happens everyday all over the world,just a quicky for you,Susan Smith,and so many more. So a dead child is nothing new,but still very wrong as even you might agree.
