It must smell different, Vivian. And they must be able to sense when something isn't safe. Wild animals know how to avoid poisonous plants and I read about studies they did with rats and corn flakes. The rats actually preferred the cornflake box rather than the actual cornflakes.

I wish that we humans could have the same instinct as animals in avoiding GMO's. I find it interesting that the animals can percept that the GMO food is indeed different than the non-GMO food. Maybe the food smells different to them?
