The N95 mask was tested by NIOSH for particle size down to 4 to 30 nanometers. This would mean then that if a virion particle was much smaller than that tested for in the N95 the mask would not be effective at protecting the wearer.

From what I could find the particle size that the alleged COVID 19 is reported to be is

.08 to 0.14 micrometers  is 80 to 140 nanometers

This would seem to indicate to me that the NIOSH testing of the N95 mask is down to a particle size smaller than the alleged virion particle size of COVIzd 19

Tell me what you folks think about this.

Something that Dr. Kaufman mentioned was very interesting. He said that the N95 masks that have been in such demand according to the news media and health care workers would not filter out a virion of the size that is claimed for the COVID 19 alleged virus.  I found this article that emphasizes just what he stated.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16490606  tested at virion particle size of 10 to 80 nm for N 95 mask.

Now I know from my own professional experience that the N95 is the standard for use in hospitals for airborne and droplet transmission potential. For example a patient known to have active Tuberculosis  would be placed in an isolation room while undergoing treatment.  In this case the N95 is perfectly suited to the situation and does prevent the health care workers from contracting TB during the course of patient care. The isolation rooms are also vented to the outside with regular intervals of fresh air circulated into the room.

The authors pointed to earlier research showing particles 0.04 to 0.2 μm "can penetrate surgical masks." For the coronavirus responsible for SARS, particles were estimated to be within that range at 0.08 to 0.14 μm, they said.

"Assuming that SARS-CoV-2 has a similar size, surgical masks are unlikely to effectively filter this virus," they wrote. "The size and concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 in aerosols generated during coughing are unknown."

They say that the size of the virions are not known and they assume that the size is similar to that of SARS.  The sizes here are given in microns. A micron is 1 millionth of a meter. A nanometer is 1 billionth of a meter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IC3AcItKc3U

1000 nanometers equals 1 micrometer

The video gives a comparison in size of a human hair to a nanometer. This is what Dr. Kaufman was talking about.

We need to see more informative interviews such as this one.
