The American college dream is turning into a nightmare. Graduates are unable to pay off debt , save for the future and strive for a comfortable living anymore. College graduation is a wonderful event in any student's life, except for the mountain of debt that US students will have to pay off. The Young Turks Ana Kasparian says she thinks US high schools should offer a class that will prepare students to deal with college debt and the responsibility it entails.

That's the best way to do it, Greg. The elites have unfortunately set up the system for people to get in debt easily. It's a trap they've set for us. Fifty/sixty years ago most people only had one loan and that was for their mortgage.

Yep, it takes years to repay those loans. They would probably choose to marry someone else who would be contributing to building a life together rather than just paying off their college debt.

In College Conspiracy they mentioned that women who came out of college with around $100,000 in debt would be 'unmarriageable' - their word - because nobody would want to marry someone with all that debt.

My daughter is graduating HS in a week! We sent College Conspiracy to her friends so hopefully they'll think about the value of the degrees they will soon be pursuing. I hope that part about being 'unmarriageable' due to being in debt sinks in.
