Sweden introduces a six-hour working day with full pay

Sweden is trying a six-hour working day in order to reduce sick leaves.
Government employees in Gothenburg are also part of the trial. One department will work six-hour days while the other will work seven hours a day. The two departments will be compared to see if shorter days improve efficiency. However, opposition politicians have blasted the move as just a cheap trick to win favor ahead of elections.
