Well we know that they were the real deal before, but they got highjacked by the neo-cons and the mainstream media.

Like the 60's anti-war movement, the Tea party that was started by the Ron Paul Revolution has become infiltrated by mainstream Republican candidates trying to get noticed. Hey, I go there with my tricorn hat and pass out anti-NWO DVD's to hungry citizens. As far as the center left big media like CNN, ABC and NBC there agenda is so slant their coverage to make the Tea people look like a bunch of racist gorillas. FoxNews covers it to promote phony conservatives who give lip service to their support of the new Revolution while they plot to co-opt it. I think all of us radicals should 'infiltrate' it to get the message out about freedom, prosperity and peace and isolate provocateurs.

It's a very difficult endeavor and basically I'm supporting all of her issues so that we remain good friends and trying at the same time to use verifiable historic events to make my cases regarding the subjects that come up.

Terribly confounding but education is everything. Of course teaching my old dog new tricks is challenging.

Do you think if we told people the Constitution was a Rothschild conspiracy they'd believe it.
Comment by Jeff on April 5, 2010 at 5:41pm
People praise the Constitution much like other similar objects without ever questioning the evidence behind them, the history, or anything else. It's troublesome and lacks merit but the issues are solvable. The answer is something everyone's capable of, reading and education.

I still wonder why people are supporting the Constitution, a fatally flawed document directly responsible for ALL of the problems we have today.

Maasanova...Don't even go there! Highjacked my Burro! Yes, I have been a member of the Otero County NM's Patriot's Tea Party for almost one year now. Not surprisingly, in a state that is almost entirely Democratic, the majority of our members are registered Democrats or Independents, like me. The following is our mission statement and for the most part, equals less taxes and smaller government!
OUR TEA PARTY MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Otero Tea Party Patriot's is to preserve the spirit of the CONSTITUTION and BILL of RIGHTS by advocating for limited government, spending, and taxation, advancing a free market economy and holding elected officials accountable for their decisions and be responsive to their constituents.
Our objective is to motivate citizens for informed participation in the political and electoral process at all levels of government.
Our goals are to encourage citizens to gather and speak out on core issues, and to educate the public on these issues, to teach the public how to become citizen lobbyists, and make elected officials more responsive to the citizens of the U.S.

We held a Town Hall meeting here in Alamogordo, where over 1,000 of our members attended. With good questions and statements, we were able to assure our Congressman to vote “NO!” on the Health Care bill. He was only one of a handful of Democrats who voted "NO!", and he left money for use in NM on the table when he did. Unfortunately, he knows that as a first time Congressman, he probably gave up any help from the Democratic Party for his reelection this year. We now even have members who have decided to run for local political offices. Some as Independents and some are running on the Republican ticket.

Initially a majority of our members were Senior Citizens. Now the membership is changing, and at the last meeting many of the newer members brought their older children along to see democracy at work. None of us are wealthy or even well to do, but we contribute as much as we can spare to post billboards, pay for permits to assemble, etc. NO ONE can contaminate our organization, and we keep in contact with other Patriot groups to acquire new ideas. Now, don't come down on Sarah...My 55 year old daughter will come down on YOU with “Maxwell's Silver Hammer!”....And all of her rural Ohio neighbors will oblige! Sarah is well loved in the rural areas of this country, where religion and family still rank as necessities!

You may think that the Tea Party members were highjacked....The truth is we are gaining momentum and we will survive while others are out there giving UP! x

A noble goal? To support the Constitution?

So Gary, would you agree based on my assessment of the fatally flawed document people worship without any investigation of its history might prove to cause this post to rival the last in number of comments?
