You right about That..is terrible to see the government persecuting prostitutes but at the same time participating and profiting from the trade and many times having it's members soliciting this services as well knowing that they are braking the law . May be Prostitution should be Legal Maria. You right about that ! but not by having Tens nor Kids as participants ! I find sex with a child or a teen sick and bizarre!

The problem is not so much prostitutes themselves as long as they engage in the activity voluntarily and responsibly but the pimps and rings that exploit them; politicians and cops that profit from selectively protecting "the business" while enforcing prohibition pretty much the way they profit from the drug trade and fail to stop the rings' abductions, slavery and drug dependency inductions; and finally the politicians who through their dogmatic twisted economic policies reduce a good segment of the population into prostitution as the only way to survive

I understand that everyone have the right to do with their bodies as they like... but I won't like to be the son of a prostitute nor have my sisters or anyone in my family becoming one,I won't like to be marry to one neither, so I imagine that there must be many men like me that feel the same way . That is why it chock me...I was raise by a good mother that thought me to see women as Humans first and then as women. So I find sad the fact of seen women selling themselves sexually for money. But base on your comment as a women you are...may be you know something I don't ...and maybe this women really enjoy to be prostitutes and love it and may be prostitution should be legal too, and may be we should endorse this kind of behavior in society....May be is not that bad for a men to go trough life seeing women as a sexual object and not as a Human first...may be our society will do better if every man go trough life feeling proud of been the son of a prostitute... My be you are right Meriem ... and is me who is wrong ! May be I should start seeing women as sexual objects and endorse that behavior in our society as well, and by the way Home violence and Pedophilia are as bad in the US as everywhere else in some places more than in others and they may be part of the reason why women and men become engage in this kind of behavior and make a business out of it...every person is different , may be is a karmic thing...may be people born to be what they are...some born to be Pedophiles, others born to be criminals, others to become porn stars and prostitutes others to be lesbians and homosexuals, others to be religion oriented or mystic oriented and others to be workers or professionals or whatever ...it may be genetic too, may be is a combination of genetic and karma..who know....so yes you are right...After thinking about it base on your comment....may be we should start teaching our kids that prostitution is a very good option for those that like it or can't find a job, and we should legalize it too...may be our world will do better if all women become pieces of meat for men to enjoy as long as they pay the right price for it...You may be right after all Meriem! I do understand why this is surprising or even schoking for you. The real problem is who profit. Prostitution can be a choice made by a woman deliberately...Prostitution should be made legalized. Prostitutes should be considered as workers and have the same rights and duties...This is the only way to protect the women or whoever and to avoid exploitation. In some countries it has been done and it works.

We often think that teen or child prostitution exist only in the Asian countries...It is true, it does and must be fought...In manilla you have 8 years old street children prostituing themselves to occidental men, even in Bali, in Thailand, young boys do it too...It is indeed awfull...

What's about incest and7or paedophilia, home violence on women in your country? Have you seen the numbers?
