MOORE, Okla. (KOKH) — 

An Oklahoma State Senator is under investigation after allegedly being found at a metro motel with a teenage boy.

Sources confirm to FOX 25 that an investigation has been opened into an incident last week involving State Sen. Ralph Shortey.

Moore Police would not confirm names involved in the case because charges have not been presented, but did confirm a welfare check at a motel.

"On March 9th, 2017 officers of the Moore Police Department were contacted in reference to a welfare check at a local hotel. Responding officers found a juvenile male in a hotel room which was also occupied by an adult male.
