A botched attempt at sending 16 killos of cocaine lands the drug in the mailroom of the United Nations
The powder, discovered January 16, was in two white bags meant to look like diplomatic pouches, stamped with a bogus U.N. logo and sent from Mexico City through a DHL shipping center in Cincinnati. But a real U.N. diplomatic pouch is blue, has a lock and features the authentic seal of the organization. By international law, those pouches are not normally inspected or opened.
Workers at the U.N.’s postal receiving center were screening the bag, which had no destination or return address, when the cocaine — which has a street value of $2 million — was found in hollowed-out notebooks. Browne said the bags likely wound up at the actual U.N. building by accident.

Don't be so quick to judge. Around here at a Hawaiian resort area, sales were way down from the last several years. Dealers were stuck with ounces and pounds of this stuff that no one wanted. Perhaps some dealers were just sending product back and realized delivery would be unsuccessful without the suitable shipping container. I would start with the Rockefeller office complex first. Brother Nelson's last toot was on the floor of his office there. It took the child hooker 2 hours to figure out how to call the ambulance.

No, Sidney, I got this one right. The youngster knew she should do things with discretion so she called her friend, another minor, and together they decided that their only alternative was to call an ambulance, which of course notified police. Maybe tradition dictated causing convulsions before further adventure, but being a healer in the community only permits me to publish the undeniable. It was in all the first editions. I hear he was quite nude and quite still by the time the ambulance arrived. Powder on the desk. Mistakes were made.
