I know you are, but what am I? Former president Barack Obama, owner of the biggest lie of the 21st century, called current President Donald Trump a liar. I was going to do a “pot calling the kettle black” thing and while Obama has plenty of experience with pot he is also black and I wanted to avoid the racism charge that comes with legitimate criticism of him. In classic Obama style, he delivered this badmouthing of the United States on foreign soil.

Obama went to visit his birthplace in Kenya before heading to South Africa for some Nelson Mandela thing. He started off with a veiled jab at Trump, which is actually a reaction to the liberal media hysteria that attacks the President on a constant basis:

“Given the strange and uncertain times that we are in – and they are strange – and they are uncertain – with each day’s news cycles bringing more head-spinning and disturbing headlines, I thought maybe it would be useful to step back for a moment and try to get some perspective,” said Obama.

From Obama’s perspective everything is so strange and head-spinning because he is no longer in control. That’s his ego talking, but there is also a hint of sadness as he knows his entire legacy as POTUS was undone in a little over a year by Donald Trump. To him that’s disturbing.

As you know, Obama refuses to utter the word “Trump” because he fears saying it 3 times in a mirror will make The Donald show up and hang him on a meat hook. While Obama won’t say Trump’s name, he is very bad at hiding who he is talking about:

“Unfortunately, too much of politics today seems to reject the very concept of objective truth. People just make stuff up…we see the utter loss of shame among political leaders where they’re caught in a lie and they just double down,” Obama said.

Political leaders? Is he calling Theresa May a liar? Is he questioning Angela Merkel’s honesty? No chance. He talking about one specific political leader and that person is Donald J. Trump. Obama just called Trump a liar and he did it in South Africa as part of his celebration of Nelson Mandela. This is the most “Obama” moment since he left the White House.

Of course Obama is noted and decorated liar who has no room to talk. He lied about the ACA, Benghazi, the Iran nuclear deal, ISIS, gun control…you know what, it might just be easier to list the things he told the truth about. Unfortunately I got nothing, but I’m sure there was something. Statistically speaking, even a pathological liar will stumble upon the truth occasionally.

Trump’s “lies” on the other hand tend to be things that are factual but which the liberals disagree with. When Trump expresses an opinion that the left doesn’t like, they freak out and accuse him of lying. This is much different then Obama straight up saying something that isn’t true.

Not only does Obama lack any self-awareness, he’s a chickenshit. If he’s going to stand up there on the international stage and accuse Trump of being a liar, call him by name. Own it. Being vague with an undeserved sense of moral superiority only makes him look like a coward.
