I just formed a group based on this topic, the content is intended to bring attention to the abuse of Medicare, and the elderly.  I am in the possession of a great deal of information and would be more than happy to have private discussions, or possibly share with anyone else who might have information concerning nursing home chains--my brother and I have compiled thousands of pages.

Has your once highly respected, pillar of the community, wise old gramma now been placed in the hands of a peaceful, loving, caring, long term care facility (nursing home)?  When you are able to take time out of your busy schedule to visit gramma, are you greeted at the door by some sleazy lady who's overdosed on perfume that smells like embalming fluid, and makeup caked on several layers thick, complimented with crimson lipstick so thick it likens her to a vampire?  Sometimes you wonder if the black hair dye running down the back of her neck might be black blood oozing from her scalp.  You're supposed to take this woman seriously because she's dressed like a business woman--what kind of business though?  Even more troubling than the hideous appearance is the creepy smile that gives you the impression she's keeping some heinous secret hoping you won't discover.  When you reach gramma's room do you always find her smiling and laid back--kinda like she may have just finished burnin down a big spliff with her roommate--who conspicuously has the exact same empty smile and appears to be oblivious to the fact that you're even in the room?  Gramma's gone now, and she's in a better place--much better--believe me!!!  Looking back things begin to haunt you (besides just the hideous vampire lady).  How come whenever gramma tried to complain about the conditions, or how she'd been treated, suddenly your wise old gramma was said to no longer be cognizant, and if you were to have shown up unannounced and found her soaked in her own urine, she'd suddenly become incontinent--over night!  Sometimes there's no other solution than to place the elderly in a long term care facility.  Not many people are qualified to provide the clinical care, or ensure the safety of an elderly person.  The sad truth is that these homes know that nobody can monitor the quality of care they provide all day, every day.  They do know that Medicare, and Medicaid will pay anything that qualifies under "reasonable and customary charges".  These people are foul and disgusting, and no better than someone who would open fire on a room full of innocent children.  How can we expect society to respect the responsibility of the right to bear arms when our elderly aren't being treated with dignity after they've become unable to take care of themselves any longer?  Their wisdom has been sold out by some huge corporation for a Medicare paycheck!
