At Geeks.com you can get a webcam for as little as $9.50 US for a refurbished Logitech QuickCam that comes with an earbud mic.
Now personally I hate ear buds and if you want to spend a little more you can get the same Microslop Lifecam VX-1000 that I use for about $30 which has a built in microphone.
