Das had become consumed with jealousy and believed his girlfriend unfaithful

Shortly before the killing he told his partner: 'It's going to be a special night.'

A drug addict has been locked up indefinitely for bludgeoning his son to death with a hammer after he became paranoid his partner was having an affair.

Bidhya Sagar Das, a cannabis user, killed 16-month-old Gabriel Sonu Bibekas on March 18.

Das, 33, had become consumed with jealousy over unfounded suspicions his Romanian girlfriend Christinela Datcu was having sex with other men in the child’s bed.

RIP Gabriel.
